The Bloomberg administration launched a new ad campaign in an effort to decrease teen pregnancies in New York City. In one ad, a picture of a baby is coupled with a message that reads, “Honestly Mom … chances are he won’t stay with you. What happens to me?” The subtitle says, “Are you ready to raise a child by yourself.” The new campaign was released on March 3.
The New York City Human Resource Administration also has a page online featuring teens discussing the challenges involved with raising children at a young age. The page can be viewed at nyc.gov. The new ads will appear on buses and subways throughout the city.
