The PSAL (Public School Athletic League) will crown the 2013 girls and boys city champs on Saturday, March 16 at Madison Square Garden.

Double AA hopefuls South Shore and Murry Bergtraum will tip off at noon in the battle for the girls championship. Bergtraum head coach Ed Grezinsky and South Shore head coach Anwar Gladden will collide in the title game for a third shot at Bergtraum, who they have yet to beat at the Garden in a championship game.

Bergtraum reached the title game with a hard-fought, 64-55 semi-final win over Curtis. South Shore (19-0) gets another shot at Bergtraum after a 70-45 win in the semi-finals against Midwood. Bergtraum (24-2) will be shooting for their 15th straight PSAL championship.

On the boys side, Lincoln (15-1) will shoot for the PSAL title against Jefferson after their playoff wins in the quarter finals and a 98-54 semi-final win over Wadleigh. Jefferson is set for another MSG shot at the PSAL title, defeating Cardozo 64-60 in a semi-final win over Cardozo. Game time is 12 p.m.
