On March 27th 2013, the Organization of Black Woman (OBW) will be hosting the 7th Annual Women on the Move.

Women on the Move is a women-owned organization designed to prepare young women for successful futures and careers within the political, music, fashion, film, and business industries, according to their website. Their mission is to “inform, educate and empower the next generation of business owners, political figures, entertainers, educators, authors, and high-level executives.

To do so, they provide platforms for “successful career women and aspiring entrepreneurs and entertainers who wish to network and exchange in meaningful dialogue by participating in free and exclusive workshops and seminars.”

Confirmed speakers for this year’s event include Bevy Smith (former Fashion-Editor At Large of Vibe Magazine), Karue Hustle (Hot 97 Executive), Dr. Elisa English (Celebrity Clinician & Consultant), Michaela Angela Davis (Writer and Image Activist), and Bozoma Saint John (Entertainment Marketer). There will also be giveaways, free food, and internship opportunities for Def Jam Recordings, Bossip, Hot 97, and Atlantic Records. The event will start at 7pm and will take place at the Kimmel Center (60 Washington Square South, 10th Floor, New York, NY).
