According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, it looks like former NFL player Kordell Stewart, estranged husband of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Stewart, will be back on the market soon. Stewart–who many of the other housewives pegged as being too controlling–filed a petition for divorce on March 22 in Atlanta’s Fulton County Court. The document stated, “Petitioner, after marrying respondent, a cast member on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ on May 21, is seeking divorce as the marriage is irretrievably broken.” He also states that he doesn’t want to pay her any spousal support .
Film Life Inc., the unyielding force behind the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), the premiere film festival for celebrating diversity in cinema, is excited to partner with AMC Theatres to raise the stakes and bring a national element to a mainstay competition at the ABFF.
Through this alliance, filmmakers participating in the 17th annual ABFF Narrative Feature Competition will now be vying for an invaluable opportunity: the theatrical release of their movie in up to 10 U.S. markets. The label will be launched through ABFF America. Up to five finalists will be selected to screen their films at the 2013 American Black Film festival in Miami. One winner will be announced at the “ABFF Awards Presentation” on Saturday, June 22.

The two have reached terms on a very artist friendly joint venture that will focus on Palmer and her next music endeavors. Coming off of her critically acclaimed performance in the Lifetime Network dramatic TV special, “Abducted: The Carlina White Story,” for which the actress was nominated for the Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special Award at the recent NAACP Image Awards, Palmer is now participating in a project that is close to her heart, the VH1 TLC Biopic, “Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story,” in which she co-stars with Lil Mama and Drew Sidora.
Wearing a classic black, strapless Jason Wu satin bustier gown, “Scandal” star Kerry Washington was one of the speakers at the 2013 Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles gala on March 22 at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live. Washington was at the event to support the organization’s efforts to raise awareness about the fight to legalize gay marriage.
