Food & Drink Boulevard (39032)

It’s time to get those sensible walking shoes on, grab some friends and prepare that hearty appetite for great Harlem edibles and libations. That’s right, it’s time for the 2nd annual Food & Drink Boulevard event on Thursday, May 2, 6-10 p.m. Presented by the Frederick Douglass Boulevard Alliance (FDBA), the celebration of food, cocktails, music, culture and surprises will host over 1000 attendees and sample over 13 restaurants.

Susannah Koteen, owner of Lido and president of FDBA, said, “As president of the Frederick Douglass Boulevard Association–which is a relatively new organization, founded just over a year ago–it is exciting to see so many people (business owners and residents) that are invested in making Frederick Douglass Boulevard a thriving community. The Food and Drink Boulevard event is an example of that. It is a great way for people to meet their neighbors while supporting the many wonderful establishments along FDB.”

Sponsors for the 2013 event include presenting sponsor Spring Bank, Columbia University, Go No Fee!, RGS Holdings, Riazul Tequila, Harlem Brewing, Coors, Corona, Manhattan Beer and Coors Light. Nicholas Diamond, the co-owner of Riazul Tequila, said, “I am thrilled to be a part of this exciting event and truly appreciate what Experience: Harlem is doing to bring awareness and business to the neighborhood. It is well on its way to becoming the spot for dining and entertainment not just within Harlem, but in all of NYC.”

Experience: Harlem owner Angie Hancock said, “When I first moved to Harlem 10 years ago, there was only one restaurant along the Frederick Douglass Boulevard corridor. Now, Frederick Douglass Boulevard is one of the most exciting places to live and dine

in Harlem. We’re excited about the variety of restaurants truly representing the international city that is New York.”
