Brooklynites lost a mighty, mighty warrior on Wednesday, 22, May 2013. The carrer activist Jitu Weusi – also lovingly known as Big Black passed away after being ill for some time. While the Diaspora lost one of it’s greatest fighters for social, educational and political justice – the impact of his transition affects the entire nation.

The former public school educator will be remembered this Saturday, May 25, at My Sweets, 2pm – 1103 Fulton Street, off Claver Place – take C train to Franklin Avenue and walk down half a block.
