Bill Thompson picked up another endorsement for his bid to be the next mayor of New York City. The Rev. Floyd Flake, the senior pastor of the Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York in Queens, is one of the latest persons to endorse Thompson for mayor. According to Thompson’s website, Floyd said, “I support his vision to make New York more affordable, bring parents back into the fold of our schools and keep communities safe while improving the bonds between communities and their police.” Floyd supported Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2009. Last week, Thompson received the stamp of approval from Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., who is an influential voice in the Hispanic community.
