Bronx Triangle Inc., a not-for-profit 501c(3) organization that supports education and public service, held its annual scholarship awards ceremony at Eastwood Manor in the Bronx and awarded nine high school and college students.
Scholarship recipient Amira Tankard said, “I have learned through my family and various community organizations that it truly takes a village to raise a child.” She will be graduating from the Chaplin School this month and will attend Columbia University in the fall.
Her twin brother, Reginald Tankard, who attended York Prep on the Upper West Side from sixth-grade to 12th-grade, said, “The most import thing I’ve learned throughout high school was that nothing in life is guaranteed, so you must strive for greatness and do anything to achieve it.”
Reginald Tankard will be attending American University in Washington, D.C., and double majoring in business administration and management.
