Its time again for the 4th annual Father’s Day Pledge. Held every year for the past 3 years, this pledge is for fathers and men to take a stand and speak out against domestic violence, violence in the community, child abuse and safety in their communities. The pledge was created in 2010 by Council Member Julissa Ferreras and CONNECT, a group that advocates for safe families and peaceful communities. Men who participate are also promoting growth and healing within the community as well as in the home.
The pledge will take place on Thursday June 13th at 12 P.M. on the steps of City Hall, NYC. The group invites all to “make a change and have your voice heard!” Women and children are also encouraged to attend.
