EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care celebrated its grand opening in Harlem on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Community leaders and EmblemHealth reps gathered at 215 W. 125th St., between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and Frederick Douglass boulevards, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the facility.
EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care is a warm and inviting place where all members of the community can come in and meet face to face with EmblemHealth professionals to ask questions, get reliable information and solve problems. In addition, EmblemHealth members can discuss specific health care needs to make the most of their insurance benefits and the health care system.
The EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care team–comprising health care solution specialists, community liaisons, a registered nurse, a pharmacist and a behavioral health specialist–is available to help patients solve billing issues, find in-network treatment options, connect with other community resources, enroll in government programs and identify health and wellness programs.
EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care will also offer members and neighborhood residents access to community meeting spaces, educational materials and lectures, and health screenings such as for blood pressure and body mass index. Interactive technology will provide guests with wellness information to help assess health risks and make informed choices.
