
The Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building in Harlem was the site of the 15th Annual ‘Who’s the Boss’ Women’s Business Conference. This year’s theme was “Moving Forward” and keeping your business relevant in the new economy. The conference and all-day event started with a breakfast and awards ceremony, with workshops held throughout the day on the eighth floor.
Women in the Black New York is a Harlem-based entrepreneurial organization created for the purpose of educating, training and supporting women business owners. Women in the Black is committed to providing women of color with the resources essential to start, lead and grow successful small businesses in their communities, primarily in the New York metropolitan area.
“We are committed to strengthening our communities through fostering the growth of women-owned businesses and promoting entrepreneurial excellence through innovative programming, extended learning and networking,” said President Princess Jenkins.
