During the first week of August, the world will celebrate the beauty and benefits of breastfeeding, and so will St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
On Thursday, Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Roosevelt Hospital lobby, located at 1000 10th Avenue between 58th and 59th streets), Roosevelt Hospital will host its first breastfeeding informational fair. New Yorkers will have the opportunity to learn firsthand from educational materials, as well as talk one-on-one with doctors, nurses and other health experts about the specific advantages and techniques of breastfeeding, diets leading up to and during breastfeeding, and overall healthy living and safety tips for mothers with newborns and mothers-to-be. No appointment is needed, just walk on in!
