Douglas Elliman expands to new office in Harlem

After a successful, seven-year stint at 2169 Frederick Douglass Blvd. in Harlem, N.Y., Douglas Elliman Real Estate announced that their company will move to a new location at 2112 Frederick Douglass Blvd. on Aug. 12. This move is reflective of the real estate explosion of developing, buying and selling activity in the Harlem community.

Managed by Jeff Rothstein and John Lawrence, Douglas Elliman’s new state-of-the-art space on the corner of West 114th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard features all the modern amenities, including an elegant reception area and a large conference room. The office will house 28 agents. This new corner location is expected to bring in more foot traffic and increase exposure of the brand in the neighborhood.

“This is a strategic move that will better serve our customers while growing the Elliman name in the neighborhood,” said Rothstein. “Elliman has been a proud supporter of Harlem in the seven years that we’ve been here. Today, the area is really exploding with new developments, new hot spots and great restaurants. We are growing right along with the neighborhood to better meet the needs of our clients and customers.”

One of the ways Elliman has supported the Harlem neighborhood was through a monetary gift to Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project. Elliman’s donations will help create and maintain green spaces throughout Harlem and the city. Why open in Harlem? “It’s a developing area. We wanted to support the community,” said Lawrence. “
