Bill Thompson, the “comeback kid” from Brooklyn who nearly defeated New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in the last mayoral race, is in it to win it this time. On Aug. 31, he told his Brooklyn followers, “We will win the second time around.” In the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn, Thompson, surrounded by friends and neighbors, said, “We will do it this time, Brooklyn.”
