The search now in its seventh week, the family of 14-year-old Avonte Oquendo is clinging to hope that the autistic teen will be found. Oquendo ran out of his school in Long Island City, Queens, on Oct. 4.

Help from across the nation has come in. Reports indicate that professional baseball player Alexander Rodriguez has joined the search for Oquendo and met with the family on Sunday, pledging to use his celebrity to help.

Oquendo is 5-foot-3 and weighs 125 pounds. He is not verbal and was last seen wearing a gray striped shirt, black jeans and black shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. There is a $95,000 reward.
