A celebration and screening of the new documentary film “Stepping Into the Future” will take place on the occasion of the publication of “BAsics: A Celebration of Revolution and the Vision of a New World” on Dec. 7 at MIST Harlem with a special live performance by Matthew Shipp and William Parker. There will also be a directors Q&A with Annie Day and Andy Zee, as well as a reception.

This documentary is about the April 11, 2011, celebration of the publication of “BAsics,” the handbook for revolution in the 21st century, when hundreds of people joined in a thrilling taste of revolutionary possibility at Harlem Stage in New York City.
