Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is hosting a book signing with former New York City Mayor David N. Dinkins in honor of the release of his memoirs, “A Mayor’s Life: Governing New York’s Gorgeous Mosaic.” The book chronicles Dinkins’ journey in life and through local New York City politics as an assemblyman, city clerk, Manhattan borough president and as the 106th mayor of New York City—the first and only African-American to hold the position. The book signing will take place on Feb. 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Restoration’s Skylight Art Gallery, 1368 Fulton St., third floor, Brooklyn. The event will include a conversation between between Dinkins and former Chief of Staff John Flateau, followed by a moderated question-and-answer session and book signings. Barnes & Noble will be on site to sell the book.
