Wednesday night just after 8 p.m., NYPD detectives arrested the suspect in connection with the stabbing of two young children on Sunday in the elevator of the Boulevard Houses in Brooklyn while the two were on their way to get ice cream.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Daniel St. Hubert. He was found in Ozone Park, Queens.

St. Hubert has a history of crime and violence. He has nine arrest on his record. Arrests include assaults on a NYPD officer and a correction officer. He also served a full sentence for attempted murder on his mother and was released on May 23rd, but was required to check in with a parole officer.

NYPD is still investigating if St. Hubert was also responsible for the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Tanaya Copeland just days prior.
