On Friday, June 13th, the People’s Survival Program will be hosting, “Serve the People Day.” Located on 125th Street/Lexington Avenue in Harlem, this event is geared towards building and supporting the Harlem community.
Members of the People’s Survival Program have been helping residents of Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx for the past five years. All of its services are free, ranging from hot meals to medical screenings.
The event will start at 12 noon and end at 6 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to bring bottled water, canned food, and “usable and clean” summer clothing for the residents of Harlem. Individuals are also encouraged to donate money if they can or cannot make it that day.
