Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop in Harlem is hosting it’s fourth biannual 48-Hour Health Fair and Hair Cutting Marathon July 11-13. The highly anticipated event reaches over 2,000 people each year, impacting lives through free medical screenings, health education and resources.
This year, founder Dennis Mitchell has partnered with motivational speaker and activist Marsha R. Bonner of the HUGS Movement (Helping Us Grow Spiritually) to emphasize the importance of mental, physical and spiritual health, especially in communities of color. The weekend of events is aimed at making Harlem a stronger community by promoting health awareness and encouraging proactive approaches to fitness and wellness.
