Steve McQueen, the Academy Award-winning director of 12 Years a Slave, will be hosting an open casting call on Saturday, August 23rd, at the Harlem School for the Arts from 10am to 1pm.
The project’s casting director is looking for African American Males in their 20s to 40s. No Experience is necessary.

McQueen’s latest project is an upcoming series for HBO which currently remains untitled. Deadline.com reports that he is working with Russell Simmons, World War Z co-writer Matthew Michael Carnahan, and Oscar-winning producers Iain Canning and Emile Sherman (The King’s Speech).
Deadline.com also reports that the film will be, “an exploration of a young African-American man’s experience entering New York high society.”
