At her senior citizen high-rise apartment located on the campus of New York University, former Greater New York Links President Audrey Thorne celebrated her 96th birthday with Greater NY Links presidents and members.
Though bed-ridden, Thorne happily welcomed her guests with catered food, wine and the delicious drink, ginger beer.
New York Links President Rhonda J. McLean said, “We are so happy to be here to celebrate Audrey’s 96th birthday. She was treasurer for 30 years and ran the annual ‘Links Luncheon and Fashion Show’ for 20 years, and is the oldest member of the Greater New York Links. We are so happy to be here and share all these wonderful memories, and god bless the Links’ Audrey Thorne for her many years of service to the Greater NY Links.”
