Whether you are going to a Thanksgiving dinner or inviting friends and family over to give thanks, a bottle or two of great wine always enhances the experience. Visit your local wine store, check out what they might be tasting that day, ask questions, discuss what you are preparing and then make your decision on what is best for you.

Here is are a couple of bottles I’ve tried that will give you something to wine about.

I love a blend, and this red wine from Marvelous combines Syrah with Grenache, Voignier and Mourvedre grapes together for a ripe fruit flavor with good acidity. There is also a nice balance between deep fruit flavors and spice. It’s perfect for ham, lamb or roasted root vegetables that might be on your table.

Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favorite types of white wine for its clean and bright drinkability. The one from Danny Seo Philosophy Wines doesn’t disappoint. With tasting notes of kiwi, citrus, lemongrass and Asian pear, this white made with organic grapes would be perfect with the entire Thanksgiving meal.
