The Staten Island Children’s Museum is currently taking applications for its high school internship program. The program enrolls local Staten Island high school youth in leadership development, school to career readiness, work experience, cultural diversity, conflict resolution, intergenerational interactions, content-based exhibit work and peer-to-peer collaborations, all through social, cultural and educational components of the internship. The program consists of training on various learning styles of children, the museum’s exhibits and procedures, group projects to enhance collaborative skills and staff support to contribute to developing personal confidence and strengths.
