Harlem Park to Park will host its third annual Harlem Hospitality and Culinary Conference Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the prestigious Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Established to create a platform to discuss, develop and negotiate new business opportunities to attract new businesses to Harlem and to highlight the success others are achieving in the neighborhood, HHCC offers informative insights into Harlem’s growth toward becoming New York City’s premier location for corporate, emerging brands and entrepreneurs alike.
This year’s theme, “Culture, Culinary and Commerce,” focuses on how Harlem businesses can leverage Harlem’s rich culture as part of a brand. Panel discussion topics include “Harlem Then, Harlem Now” and “Building a Rich Harlem Hospitality Experience” with prominent industry leaders, including Joseph “JJ” Johnson (the Cecil/Minton’s), Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster Harlem), Shola Lynch (Schomburg Center for Research), Jonelle Procope (Apollo Theater), Jeffrey L. Bowman (Ogilvy & Mather) and more.
The conference fee is $50 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
