Keep up with Buttahman

Best-known as former host of MTV’s “Hood Fab” and current Director of Music for BET, Buttahman’s comedy touches on issues ranging from pop culture to personal experiences in the entertainment industry.

On the comedy circuit he’s gaining notoriety as the first openly gay comedian from hip hop touching on homophobia and his journey since coming out two years ago. He recently discussed his experience on Shade 45’s “Sway in the Morning” with radio host Sway Calloway on SiriusXM.

Buttahman started his career in radio in Baltimore on 92Q Jams WERQ after graduating from the historically Black Morgan State University. He began performing at open mic nights around Baltimore at various clubs.

During his stand up career he’s performed at Eve’s Lounge in Brooklyn and Silvana in Harlem. He’s fresh off of a recent trip to Los Angeles where he performed at the famous Comedy Store and Inside Jokes.
