BET’s “Black Girls Rock!” is coming to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

The taping takes place Saturday, March 28 and is being hosted by actresses Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King. This marks the second year “Black Girls Rock!” is being taped in Newark. The show will air Easter Sunday, April 5.

“I am so excited to share the stage again with my good friend Regina to recognize incredible Black women,” said Ross. “Powerhouses Debra Lee, CEO and chairman of BET Networks, and Beverly Bond, CEO of ‘Black Girls Rock!,’ are true examples of Black girls who rock.”

The televised prime-time special celebrates its fifth year honoring the triumphs of inspirational African-American women who are trailblazers in the areas of art, philanthropy, sports and community service. BET Networks is in partnership with Beverly Bond, creator and executive producer, CEO and founder of “Black Girls Rock!”
