The event is being hosted by hip hop radio station Hot 97. The soundtrack was released on March 10 and fans who purchased the album at J&R Express at Century 21 Department Store are receiving access to the signing.
The soundtrack features songs from the show’s first season by Smollett and Yazz along with Terrence Howard, Mary J. Blige, Estelle and Jennifer Hudson. Famed hip hop artist and producer Timbaland serves a music supervisor for the show.
Premiering January 7 on Fox, Empire ranked as the network’s highest-rated debut in three years. A ratings success, the series is now up to over 14 million viewers.
