New York City’s top high school senior boys and girls basketball players from the Public Schools Athletic League and the Catholic High School Athletic Association are competing against each other for the right to call their league the “Best in the City” in the 2015 NYC Mayor’s Cup Basketball All-Star Games.
The games tipped off last night (Wednesday) at the Baruch Recreation Center Complex. The games are the only all-star basketball events played between the two leagues. On the girls’ teams, Ashanae McLaughlin (Murry Bergtraum/Seton Hall University) and Alexandria Smith (Murry Bergtraum/Middle Tennessee State University) will lead the PSAL All-Stars as they compete against Aryn McClure (Archbishop Molloy/Quinnipiac University) and Dina Motrechuk (Moore Catholic/University of Rhode Island) and the CHSAA All-Stars.
