From toddlers to teens, petitePARADE’s eighth Kids Fashion Week show was spectacular. Their young models strutted down the runway and sparked excitement with this audience in clothes from over 100 designers.
Anais & I, designed by Jane D’Haene, kicked off their presentation with a whimsical collection of street styles in desert hues. Her designs were inspired by travels through the great American plains. In this showing, she included some special pieces from their fall-winter 2015 line. Little Miss Galia, designed by Alia Charvel, made her debut in this show at the historical Bathhouse Studios in Manhattan’s East Village. The Mexican brand interprets fashion trends with cultural elements and past traditions through luxurious fabrics and patterns.
Returning to the parade, Aria Children’s Clothing focused on its colorful prints and fun sensibility. Designer Peini Yang and new partner, the reputable and influential brand Biscotti & Kate Mack, created romantic and timeless designs. The all-boy brand Dillonger closed the afternoon segment of the show. Designed by LaToia Fitzgerald, Dillonger Clothing is modern and comfortable sportswear. For the grand finale, there was a pre-released appearance of the Tonka Mighty Dump Truck presented by Dynacraft. It represents the latest incarnation of the iconic Tonka brand. Kids in the audience loved this segment.
Bonnie Young closed the show. Believe in the wisdom of every child, the Imoga brand, designed by Hj Chung, created pint-sized silhouettes with colorful prints. The designer maximized style and freedom in her collection. Young’s children’s clothes are always impressive. Her edgy tween and teen looks are the best.
