The Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, is having its annual Black Book Fair Sunday, April 19, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Medgar Evers College in the Academic Complex Science Building, located at 1638 Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn.

The purpose of the book fair is is to promote literacy in the borough of Brooklyn while encouraging a love of reading for all ages. The theme for this year’s fair is “Yes! Empowering Our Young Men With Literacy.”

Several independent authors who write books with African-American and multicultural characters will be featured at the event. Admission is free and includes refreshments and activities for kids.
