Kick off the impending mid-week blues and explode into hump day after a night on Harlem’s Restaurant Row, eating, drinking and laughing in reverence of the fourth annual “Food and Drink Boulevard,” presented by Experience: Harlem and the Frederick Douglas Business Alliance. Join friends, family, neighbors and Harlemites Tuesday, May 5 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for small bites and boss signature cocktails from Frederick Douglas Boulevard’s many restaurants.
This annual event celebrates the stretch of Frederick Douglas Boulevard between 110th and 125th streets as one of Harlem’s most visible and well-traveled dining destinations. “Food & Drink Boulevard is an opportunity for Harlemites and visitors alike to experience the best of FDB while mixing and mingling with city trendsetters, foodies and nightlife impresarios,” said Angie Hancock, owner of Experience: Harlem and co-creator of the event. “We’re celebrating the start of summer with a fun outing that has consistently been a crowd pleaser.”
Participating restaurants include a mix of your standard favorites like the 5 and Diamond (@The5andDiamond), 67 Orange Street (@67OrangeStreet), Jado Sushi (@JadoSushi), Melba’s Harlem (@MelbasHarlem) and Vinateria (@VinateriaNYC), and some of the newbies too like Blujeen (@BlujeenNYC), Lolo’s Seafood (@LolosSeafood) and Marcus Samuelsson’s newest chickadee, Streetbird (@StreetbirdNYC).
“We take great pleasure and pride in welcoming the neighborhood and visitors to experience these businesses in such a fun and festive way,” said Susanah Koteen, president of the FDBA and owner of Lido.
