The New York Society for Ethical Culture and United Social Services, discussed the future impact of public service policy recently at the inaugural 2015 Champions of Change Public Service Forum.

The forum featured a panel of experts, including Marc Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League, Rep. Barney Frank, former chair of the Congressional Finance Committee, professor Steven Cohen, executive director of the Columbia University Earth Institute and Sherry Glied, dean of New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

The discussion was moderated by WABC 7 anchor Bill Ritter.

Mayor David N. Dinkins, the 2014 Dr. Phyllis Harrison-Ross Public Service Award recipient, attended the pre-forum VIP reception to meet the panel. Rep. Charles Rangel’s Chief of Staff Geoffrey Eaton presented the NYSEC and Harrison-Ross with a proclamation from Congress declaring April 30 Public Service Awareness Day.
