For summer 2015, Giray Sepin creates contemporary urban clothes for his presentation in Istanbul. He embraces traditional references and multiculturalism. His clothes appeal to the man who is young at heart. This client is also a believer in style’s permanency and fashion’s delightful transience. The man who wears these clothes is a fan of art, music, design and function.
Sepin started his fashion career working at Mundo, designing his first collection in 2007. Born in Ankara, Turkey, Sepin holds a BA degree from Yeditepe University. He worked with the Abbate design team and won second prize from ITKIB Young Fashion Designers Contest in 2004. He also designed the gorgeous dance costumes for the Eurovision Song Contest’s final performance of “Can Bonomo” in 2012. Today, Sepin continues to design under his own brand, as well as holding his position as head menswear designer at Mundo.
The Academy of Art Fashion show always draws a creative, fun crowd to their New York show. Since 2005, the Academy of Art University is committed to helping young designers launch their careers. These designers are ready to compete and succeed in today’s fashion world. This season’s show was spectacular.
