This coming long weekend will see four days of family-friendly, fun-filled art, culture, and entertainment that’s been celebrating the African Diaspora in Brooklyn, N.Y., since 1971.
According to April Silver of Akilaworksongs, confirmed artists include Living Colour, July 4; Talib Kweli, July 3; Norman Connors, July 4; and Kaissa, July 5.
There will be a multitude of local, national and international performers. The people watching is also stellar. Then, of course, there is the arts and craft zone, the chess tournament, the natural hair show, barber competition, fashion show, the 26th annual NAKO symposium, and more!
