July 3, actor Michael Jai White wed actress Gillian Waters in an intimate but extravagant ceremony in Thailand. The family-and-friends-only wedding took place at the multi-acre riverfront estate of financial executive Michael Selby. Having spent the past month in Thailand—where White just completed his directorial debut with the upcoming film “Never Back Down 3,” which stars both White and Waters in leading roles—the couple tied the knot and exchanged diamond and platinum wedding bands during a traditional Thai-themed wedding that included fireworks and elephants.

Speaking of weddings, Vanessa Williams, who recently appeared on two episodes of “Royal Pains,” reportedly wed Jim Skrip July 4. This is the third marriage for the first African-American Miss America, who was previously married to public relations consultant Ramon Hervey and former NBA player-turned-actor-turned-sportscaster Rick Fox. Williams has three children with Hervey and a daughter with Fox. The newlyweds reportedly met while vacationing in Egypt. The groom is a former accountant.

American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut as Ivy Smith in “On the Town” this summer for 12 performances only, Aug. 25 to Sept. 6. Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster.com. Copeland was recently promoted to principal dancer at ABT, making her the first African-American woman to be named a principal in the company’s history. She also graced the cover of Time magazine as one of 2015’s “100 Most Influential People” and starred in ABT’s production of “Swan Lake” in their just-concluded season at the Metropolitan Opera House. “We are so thrilled to have Misty joining us at this momentous time in her career,” said producer Howard Kagan.

Lil Wayne released his new mixtape, “Free Weezy Album,” exclusively on the Jay Z-owned streaming service Tidal. The mixtape, which contains 15 new tracks, includes guest contributions from Young Jeezy and Wiz Khalifa, among others. The lead single, “Glory,” premiered on Tidal in June to celebrate Weezy’s announcement that he joined Tidal as a co-owner.

Karrueche Tran has landed a national TV gig with the premiere of “Who Wore What,” the 2015 BET Awards Fashion roundup, which premiered on BET. The budding designer and fashion stylist was tapped by BET and Beautiful Textures to present the best and worst of the BET Awards red carpet, which everyone knows is where friends are made. The stylish diva sported new platinum locks for the show, where she was joined by her co-hosts former “America’s Next Top Model” winner Eva Marcille and “Blood, Swear & Heels” star Demetria Lucas O’Doyley.
