The 2015 Brooklyn AFROPUNK Festival, with a lineup that includes Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Kelis, Danny Brown, Suicidal Tendencies, Thundercat, GoldLink, Kaytranada, Curtis Harding, Lauryn Hill, Death Grips, Gary Clark Jr., Vintage Trouble, Kelela, Jessie Boykins III, SZA, Candiria and many more, will take place Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22-23 in Commodore Barry Park.

In advance of the fest, AFROPUNK will be throwing its first ever AFROPUNK Fancy Dress Ball Friday, Aug. 21, also at Commodore Barry Park, with Grace Jones, Cakes Da Killa and MikeQ and special guests to raise funds for the AFROPUNK Global Initiative, an alliance dedicated to moving the needle of progress closer to a holistic, democratic and enlightened representation of people of color within all facets of society, with the goal of creating unique programming that encourages diversity in media. The AFROPUNK music fest will continue into the streets, bars and restaurants of Brooklyn after hours with AFROPUNK After Dark. A series of official after-parties will take over select venues and transform the neighborhood of Fort Greene into a captivating playground of music, art, comedy, entertainment and culture. With intimate pop-up performances, celebrity DJ sets, comedy shows, film screenings, art installations, story slams and drink specials, AFROPUNK After Dark is guaranteed to be the perfect nightcap.
