Brooklyn Council Member Jumaane D. Williams recently launched his annual Back to School Supply Drive, taking place through Sunday, Sept. 15, at his district office, located at 4517 Avenue D in Brooklyn.

The goal of the drive is to assist financially strapped families in the community and to help ensure that all local youth are equipped with essential materials when entering the new school year.

Williams’ office is collecting notebooks, pencils, markers, printing paper, glue, hand sanitizer, crayons and other school-related supplies. All donated items will be given out to local schools and charitable organizations. For more information, contact Farah Louis-Drayton, director of community outreach for Williams, at 718-629-2900 or email flouis@council.nyc.gov.
