“Bounce TV is firing on all cylinders, as proven by our soaring ratings this summer,” said Jonathan Katz, Bounce TV Chief Operating Officer. “We’ve made significant investments in successful new original series like Mann & Wife and Family Time, proven hit sitcoms like The Bernie Mac Show and an ever-growing library of iconic theatricals that resonate with our audience.”

The over-the-air network has been a choice for many Black viewers as more people are pulling the plug on cable. Recent numbers reveal viewers are swapping out cable for cheaper options like streaming TV online.

Founded on April 4, 2011, Bounce TV is majority owned and operated by African Americans. The founding group and initial ownership team included Andrew Young (a former Atlanta mayor and Ambassador to the United Nations), Martin Luther King III and Andrew “Bo” Young III; the group also includes Rob Hardy and Will Packer, co-founders of Rainforest Films, a top African-American production company.

Bounce TV is carried on the broadcast signals of local television stations and corresponding cable carriage. In the New York-metro area the network can been seen on WXTV channel 41.3 over the air, on FiOS 476 and on Comcast on channel 262.
