Black newsman DeMarco Morgan is returning to the Big Apple to work as a correspondent for CBS News. Morgan previously served as weekend anchor for WNBC 4 New York and did news cut-ins for MSNBC. He left New York City in 2012 to join WXIA in Atlanta, where he co-anchors the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts.
A native of Tulsa, Okla., Morgan is a graduate of the historically Black Jackson State University and earned his master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He has previously worked for WJTV in Jackson, Miss, WTVJ in Miami and WISN in Milwaukee.
