As the designer of a luxury lifestyle brand, Tory Burch defines her collection with an array of classic American sportswear. Her pieces are eclectic, sensible and attainably priced. Her clothes reflect the personal style and spirit of the CEO and designer of the line. She launched the brand in 2004 with multiple categories, including ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and jewelry. Her show was remarkable, featuring comfortable yet stylish fashions for women to wear every day.
Burch is influenced by the personal style of her parents, Buddy and Reva Robinson. She was also inspired by art, music, culture and travel. Graphic prints, bold colors and unique details are all signatures of the brand. Her clothes are worn by Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow and Hilary Swank, among others.
Born and raised in Valley Forge, just outside of Philadelphia, Burch graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in art history. She worked her way up in the industry while doing stints with Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang and Narciso Rodriguez. Today, her collections are available at freestanding Tory Burch stores across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
In 2009, the Tory Burch Foundation was launched to support the economic empowerment of women and their families. Through grants and micro-financing for women entrepreneurs, the foundation invests in the success and sustainability of women-owned small businesses. Through mentoring opportunities, it provides women with tools to achieve their aspirations as entrepreneurs and leaders. For more information, please visit www.toryburchfoundation.org. Good Show!
