President Obama will fly to Los Angeles for multiple fundraising events, including an event for congressional candidates at the Bel Air home of Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn and his wife, environmental activist Cindy Horn. According to reports, Obama will also attend a breakfast fundraiser at the home of Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer. The event will raise money for Democratic Senate candidates.

With the historic New York premiere of “Charlie Parker’s Yardbird,” the Apollo Theater and Opera Philadelphia announced a multi-year partnership that will continue the staging of contemporary operas at the Apollo in future seasons. The next co-production between the two institutions will be the New York premiere of “We Shall Not Be Moved,” set for the fall of 2017. The opera will receive its world premiere in September 2017 in the Wilma Theater as part of Opera Philadelphia’s inaugural festival and will then immediately have its New York premiere at the Apollo Theater for several performances. Set in Philadelphia, “We Shall Not Be Moved” is the story of a group of orphans who decide they want to live as a family who recognizes their marginalization and claims it as a source of power.

In a video showcasing her looks from the 200-piece collection, Beyoncé and her squad of fellow fitness enthusiasts work up a sweat in attractive activewear. Ivy Park is Beyoncé’s first joint venture with Sir Philip Green. The leggings are the highlight of the line and come in three tiers of shapes to flatter a range of physiques. The clothes start at $30 and go all the way up to $200.
