The 21st Annual Dr. Donald H. Smith Distinguished Lecture was held in Harlem for the first time. Although it was previously held at Baruch College for 20 years, this year it was hosted by All Souls Church (88 St. Nicholas Ave. between 114th and 115th streets) on Friday April 15, 2016. There to speak to the people was Dr. David Kirkland, director of the Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools at New York University.
