Walker International Communications, Inc. (WIGC) and Broadway Black are hosting THE BLACKOUT PARTY on Sunday, June 12 from 5pm to 11pm at the Broadway Times Square Row NYC Hotel.

THE BLACKOUT PARTY celebrates the achievements of Black Broadway artists of the 2015-2016 season. The over 70-year-old group has recognized Black performers, production crews and creative staff. Proceeds will benefit the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).

“WICG is honored to partner with Broadway Black & UNCF to celebrate the 70 years of excellence on Broadway,” said Toni Isreal, Managing Director of WICG. “THE BLACKOUT PARTY and Tony Award viewing party promotes Broadway, known for its brightly illuminated lights.

“As the premier media outlet for all things Black on Broadway, Broadway Black is honored to partner with legendary organizations WICG & UNCF,” said Andrew Shade, Founder and Editorial Director of Broadway Black. We celebrate the fact that the number of Black nominees for the 2015-16 year equates to approximately one-third of all previous winners in the 70-year history of the Tonys. We look forward to continuing to engage, promote and support the wonderful work created on Broadway by Black theatre artists.”

Tickets for the event can be reserved at BroadwayBlack.com/BLACKOUT.
