The New York Urban League is inviting eighth-graders to participate in the NYUL Experimental Technology Academy this summer to learn more about technology, college and careers in STEM.

The NEXT Academy is a six-week program that takes place three days a week at the NYUL offices in Harlem. Sessions begin July 11.

The program is comprises two summer learning academies with a parent and student track. Students will learn about popular STEM fields, engage in experiential technology labs and explore STEM-based careers and entrepreneurial options.

There will also be information for college and career choices, along with trips to technology companies.

Parents will learn about the impact a STEM education can have on their children and about college readiness and career opportunities in STEM.
