Resorts World Casino New York City recently hosted the Queens of Queens Dance Party at the Central Park event space. This year’s Queens of Queens Dance Party featured Alison Hinds, Drupatee, Geeta Bisram and Angels Caribbean Band. Alison Hinds, one of the most popular soca singers in the world, has been given the nickname the Queen of Soca. She released her latest album, “Caribbean Queen,” in 2010, which contains collaborations with Shaggy, Richie Spice and Jah Cure. The Queens of Queens Dance Party also featured Drupatee, a Trinidadian chutney and chutney soca musician. She made history as the first woman of East Indian descent to sing soca and has won Nafieta awards and various trophies for her unmatched contribution to chutney soca music.
