The Harlem Business Alliance leadership, HBA members, elected officials, lenders and entrepreneurs are gathering at the Harlem Hospital Mural Pavilion Tuesday, Sept. 27, for Disrupt Harlem 2016 Business Innovation Summit from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This year’s presenters include Jonathan Jackson, co-founder of Blavity, and Shaun Johnson, co-founder of Startup Institute. Senior digital and social media marketing director Mike Street will serve as event moderator.

The event will also include the Disrupt Harlem PitchTank competition in which business owners can pitch their business in under two minutes to a panel of judges, including Corey Neufville, Media Solutions Manager at Facebook; Clayton Banks of Silicon Harlem; and Karen Taylor Bass, CEO and public relations expert at TaylorMade Media.

The winner will be named “Harlem’s Most Disruptive Business” and receive the grand prize of $1,000, a six-month membership to Creative Workspace at HBA and business mentorship. All pitch competition applications were due by Monday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m.
