Bronx Council Member Andy King gives away turkeys and coats

City Council Member Andy King hosted two events at which his office donated turkeys and coats to those in need in the city’s 12th Council District in the Bronx.

Friday, Nov. 18, King distributed free Thanksgiving turkeys to Bronx families, seniors and NYCHA residents at his Gun Hill Road district office. Supporters included Local 46, MetroPlus, FreshDirect, Best Car Deal Service and Food Town, which supplied the turkeys.

Monday, Nov. 22, King hosted a coat, sweater and warm clothing drive at his office.

King’s office is currently collecting toys for his annual toy drive. Partnering with the Bronx Youth Empowerment Program, King’s office is collecting toys through Dec. 23.
