Starting April 25, the Center for Community and Ethnic Media will be offering a new class, the Health Reporting Fellowship. Classes will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for five consecutive days and will be taught by professors from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.

During the program, participants are expected to complete their own publication. This project includes print, audio, video or multimedia. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to report on a variety of health topics. Students’ work will be published in Voices of NY and students will receive a stipend. The deadline for applications is April 17. Applicants who are accepted will be notified by April 19. The Center for Community and Ethnic Media was founded in October 2012 by the CUNY board of trustees. The center’s mission is to provide professional training to students and bridge the gap between life as an immigrant and life as a New Yorker.
