Wednesday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Morris Heights Health Center and Fidelis will be hosting their free spring baby shower for mothers in the community. MHHC is a nonprofit organization that provides health services for the surrounding area. Their services range from medical to counseling. This center was founded in 1981. It is their mission to serve disadvantaged people. MHHC serves more than 48,000 patients annually. MHHC has five locations in New York City and provides services in eight NYC public schools. At this event, attendees can learn about food preparation, health information and screenings and SNAP enrollment. The event, sponsored by Golden Crust, will feature live music, raffles and gifts. The event will take place at Morris Heights Health Center, 4101 White Plains Road, Bronx, N.Y.
